A brilliant and exceptionally innovative Scientist and Educator named Stan White, his Wife and their Staff, created the Fauna Education Center.  This amazing facility and program had over 1000 live animals of multiple species that were very well cared for and trained to accept being touched by adults and especially children, without becoming frightened, angry or aggressive.

During 1981-1982, I took part in an astonishing educational program that was available at the time, in some schools, both in the public and private education sectors.

I and other applicants for Instructor training were given months of very comprehensive and specific training in animal handling, animal care and feeding, animal husbandry and emergency veterinary basics.  Added to this, was Instruction in the Life Sciences of biology, zoology, taxonomy, ecology and environmental systems as applied to K-12 classes.

I am now available as a Creative Consultant and Advisor, especially for the Entertainment Industry. My techniques are also exceptionally useful to other Corporate and Business entities that want an especially creative
set of eyes, ears and outside the box thinking. I can help you improve how you reach your clients, patrons and customers

Eventually, I and the other applicants that survived the training and graduated, became certified Life Science Instructors and were CA State approved as Guest or Visiting or Specialized

Welcome to the Military/Law Enforcement section of my background history.  I served with the U.S. Army from 1965-1969, including a tour in Vietnam 1968-1969.  I worked as a Bouncer in nightclubs to augment my G.I. Bill during my years in college.  I had a career as a Sworn police officer (recently retired) with a federal law enforcement agency, plus many kinds of Off-Duty Private Security (moonlighting) assignments while serving and since my LEO retirement.  I have over thirty years of training, certification, skill sets and personal experience in these realms.

I have a couple of pictures of me on my last day of Duty as an LEO.  One is of me "clocking out" for the last time.  The other is of me with some of the younger Officers, several of whom I trained personally when they first started.  I mentored several young officers, just as I had military and police mentors myself, usually Senior Officers and Sergeants/Non-Coms, both in Law Enforcement and with the corresponding titles unique to the Military.  With the exception of myself, because I am retired from active duty and you may have seen photos of me or my likeness on previous pages; for Operational Security and Officer Safety reasons, all Agency designators, names and other Identifiers have been removed or blacked out.

Stephen J. Jacobs

Technical Advisor/Consultant/Trainer for Motion Picture, Television, Stage and Web productions, i.e.: training actors/actresses, directors, cinematographers, etc.,

in Police Tactics, weapons, tactical building entry/search/clearing, CQB (close quarter battle) with a nexus to their Military counterparts as appropriate and many other related factors and subjects. An example of this is helping actors and actresses to understand the mindsets of law enforcement officers and military personnel, as they are creating and molding the characters they are portraying. This also applies to the mindsets of criminals, sociopaths and terrorists, as required for a part.

These skills are also of assistance to screenwriters, whether they are part of the production company writing staff or independent writers developing scripts. Writers who maybe do not have personal experience in these LEO/MIL areas and need accuracy and expertise in description of action or character, for example, greatly benefit from this kind of coaching and suggestions.
